Microchanneling

What is Microchanneling?

Micro-channeling involves the application of patches that have microscopic structures made of plastic. These structures behave like mini needles soaked in skincare actives like hyaluronic acid . When pressed into the skin, they create a 'channel' to the deeper dermal layer of skin, not only stimulating collagen production but also allowing the potent skincare ingredients to penetrate further.

While it may sound intense, the process is pain-free, zero-downtime and totally safe. Pion has created their wrinkle-smoothing micro-channeling patches for years now, and has gathered many fans along the way for the impressive results. Created from a medical grade, biodegradable polymer, microchanling  contains over 3,000 needle-like structures (each less than half a millimetre long) on each individual patch. Each needle is dripping in two different molecular weights of hydrating molecule hyaluronic acid, to both instantly refresh and provide long lasting moisture.

What Are the Benefits ?

This skin treatment delivers active skin care ingredients deep into the tissues of the skin than other treatments. This places skincare to work at the source - with visible results. Below are the benefits of Microchanneling:

  • Diminish fine lines and wrinkles
  • Correct uneven texture and color tone
  • Minimize the stretch mark
  • Remove Acne scars
  • Remove Traumatic and surgical scars
  • Get rid of hair loss
  • Firm and tighten loose skin

How Long does Mirochanneling?

How is Microchannelling different from other treatments?Unlike lasers, microchannleing breaks up pigment mechanically and remodels the collagen without heat or light. As the heat is removed from the process, it makes for a much safer, more comfortable, more consistent treatment, with very less or no downtime. Also, Dermal rollers have a fixed needle or penetration depth which is not very ideal when treating an area like the face which requires different depths due to the thickness of skin tissue, which has differences in depth hugely depending on the area being worked upon. So, having a fixed needle depth is a huge setback when trying to customize a procedure for positive results.
